Description

Guchhi mushrooms also known as sponge mushroom belongs to a Morella fungus family. These are usually grown on logs of decayed wood and leaves, stumps, or humous soil and have a rigid cone-like body with a sponge cap. These are mostly grown in the Himalayas and India is the leading producer of Gucchi Mushrooms. Rich in minerals, iron, and vitamin D. These are also rich in fiber, low in fat, and high in antioxidants. But,  one should never consume these raw as it is toxic, it loses toxicity once it is cooked.
