THE MUSHROOMS HUB
Well, for starters, Mushrooms belong to a separate category called the Fungi Kingdom. And not just us, many known mycologists and scientist communities at large believe that Fungi will be a huge part of the next industrial revolution. While Gourmet and medicinal mushrooms will remain an area of interest for growers, chefs, food connoisseurs, mycologists, nutritionists and shroom lovers at large, we also expect and hope to see people from medicine and science taking deeper interest in these super powerful species, who have lived longer than us.
Some of the most important things to know about Fungi are:
It’s a common misconception that mushrooms are vegetables. But you’ll soon find out that it’s is not the case. Anything that’s a vegetable or a fruit come from a plant. A plant which contains chlorophyll. We have all studied that chlorophyll is used to convert energy from sunlight into carbohydrates. Now coming to mushrooms…these tiny bits of high protein, low carb packets contain no chlorophyll. This means they can not photosynthesize however they do so to say ‘steal’ the carbohydrates they need from plants residue.
A mushroom (scientific name: Agaricus Bisporus) is one of the many species of fungi, living on the face of mother earth. The reason why Mushrooms have been categorized separately or in other words have been given their own kingdom is due to the sheer number of species that exist, under their own category. A category which means edible fungi – Mushrooms

There is a scientific reason why Mushrooms are considered to be very healthy. They are low in calories, contain lots of fibre and are an important source of key vitamins and minerals. Mushrooms are often chosen as a vegetarian substitute.
Mushrooms contain many essential vitamins, such as vitamin B, C and D. Vitamin B is good for a healthy skin and helps to prevent heart disease. Furthermore, vitamins B2 and B3 are contributing in maintaining red blood cells and a healthy nerve function. Vitamin D, often associated.
Mushrooms contain many essential minerals, such as iron, phosphor, copper, potassium and selenium. Potassium is an important mineral that aids in the maintenance of fluid, which helps to control blood pressure. Phosphorus , in combination with calcium, forms the structure.
