I haven’t enjoyed eating dinners for a very very long time. In fact I stopped eating dinners a while ago, until yesterday, when I really relished every spoonful of this dish that I made from everything (well, almost everything), straight from a farmland.
Stir Fry Oyster Mushrooms and veggies with boiled brown rice – Pretty long name but quite well deserved for it’s flavor and taste.
So this is oyster mushrooms, of course, from my farm. Some veggies like beans & carrots, from my neighboring farm land (not stolen, but gifted), stir fried in butter, with a little salt & pepper and sprinkled with some dry nutrie . This, coupled with boiled brown rice, steaming hot, tasted just out of this world. So much so that my 12 year old daughter, who is just not into experimenting new food, smelled it and ate a few spoon-fulls too!
So, when after starving for months of no-dinner (because I don’t like a typical punjabi dinner of daal, subzi and chapati), you get to eat something so fresh, a good night sleep is what you get. Yes, I did sleep well last night.
